Together with other social partners in the industry, we are involved in the skillawareproject that aims to raise employee awareness of the importance of basic skills for their own current and future employability. We also organise events and webinars that focus on labour market developments in the financial industry.

We are committed to gender equality. As part of the new regulations on the verification of equal pay in companies, we are involved in a social-partnership specialist unit that ensures independent monitoring of equal pay analyses in the banks and awards a seal of approval. Other important areas related to equality are the compatibility of family and career and a better work-life balance.

The SBEA is committed to clear regulations with regard to “mobile-flexible working” and “working from home”, >, which have become particularly common since the beginning of the pandemic – in a way that ensures your needs as an employee are met. Not everyone has the same prerequisites, which makes it all the more important to us that individual solutions can be implemented.

The new Agreement on Conditions of Employment for Bank Employees (ACEBE), valid from 1 January 2023, containsnew provisions that take into account the importance of mobile-flexible working.

The SBEA dealt with the issue in depth back in the first year of the pandemic, and positions formulated at the time continue to apply today.

The SBEA conducts a salary survey every two years. This survey enables us to ensure greater transparency in salaries and bonuses. The salary survey also involves collecting data on employee satisfaction with remuneration, with their companies’ salary policies and with their work situation in general.
