Bank employees are going through a difficult period. The unemployment rate in the banking sector is as high as it was in 2010 following the financial crisis and continues to rise. The Swiss Bank Employees’ Association warns that the Federal Council is making the situation worse with excessive regulatory measures. At the UBS Annual General Meeting, SBEA Vice-President Natalia Ferrara called on the Federal Council to find a compromise. For its part, UBS should give a binding commitment to preserving jobs in Switzerland.
