We create transparency
For many employees, the issue of salary is of central importance, as shown by the great interest in the salary survey conducted by the SBEA every two years.
In the banking industry, annual salary developments, in particular cost-of-living adjustments, are not negotiated by the social partners, but by the elected staff councils in the individual banks in accordance with the Agreement on Conditions of Employment for Bank Employees (ACEBE). In consultation with the staff committees, the SBPV makes a recommendation for the wage demand and communicates this via the media.
The ACEBE contains further rules on the subject of salary.
If you would like to find out more about whether you are being paid in line with the market, you can also consult the salary calculators of the Swiss Trade Union Federation or the Federal Statistical Office (last updated in 2018).

SBEA salary survey 2025
Salary is a key aspect of the job. How does your salary compare to your colleagues in other banks and regions? What changes have there been since the last salary survey in 2023?
What trends can be identified, for example with regard to the integration of bonuses into fixed salaries, equal pay for men and women and satisfaction with remuneration and the work situation in general?
Our biennial survey is aimed at all people who are or were recently employed in the financial sector.
The salary survey will be conducted until the end of April 2025.
