SBEA Foundation for further education and social purposes

The Foundation for Further Education and Social Purposes supports and promotes the social and professional aspirations of its members.

Active members of the SBEA may submit a request in the following cases:

  • You wish to complete vocational education and training.
  • You are applying for a repayable grant.
  • You wish to complete further training as a result of unemployment.
  • You find yourself in an emergency situation through no fault of your own.
  • You are unemployed and receive no benefits.

Ready for the future

Self-evaluation on the basic competencies

skillaware provides the opportunity to find out if and how your basic competencies meet the current and future needs of the financial industry. The skillaware self-evaluation is an anonymous online questionnaire conducted under the most secure conditions, the results of which will not be shared with your employer or any third party.

skillaware was launched in summer 2019 by the social partners of the financial sector (SBPV, KV Schweiz and Arbeitgeber Banken) as a long-term campaign and offers support for skills training: whether in the form of orientation talks, podcasts or in cooperation with the evrlearn.ch learning platform.

Movendo

Continuing education on topics related to the world of work

Movendo is the educational institute of the trade unions and offers further education in the fields of politics, economics, labour and social security law, communication, life management, work tools and staff representation. The programme is published each November and is usually fully booked within 5 months.

We subsidize a maximum of one 2-day course per applicant per year and cover 50% of the course costs if the employer does not pay a share of the costs. Meals and accommodation are at the expense of the participants. We do not support courses from the subject area “work tools”.

Active members who have been members of the SBEA for at least 2 years can apply for a grant.

Reservation

Interested members check the availability and prices of a course on the Movendo homepage. The price for “non-members” applies.

You create a login at www.movendo.ch and book online or by phone via 031 370 00 70. You will receive a booking confirmation, followed by an invitation with invoice from Movendo. The general booking and cancellation conditions of Movendo apply.
